Founder of influential label The Foundry, established in 1985 and publishing audio since 1995, eM (Michael Bentley) has been creating audio under a variety of guises for over a decade.
An influential member of the '.microsound' community, Bentley's work has spanned a variety of genres and has been released to widespread acclaim on a number of labels including No Type, Hypnos, Archipelago and The Foundry.
'invalidObject Series (import)' has been described as "contemplative abstractions ... bathed in an inviting, dream-like warmth". It's artwork, an evocative early photograph from the Bentley family archive, was featured as a full page in 'Radical Album Cover Art - Sampler 3'.
