A former member of Cabaret Voltaire (1972 - 1981), founder member of The Hafler Trio and sound recordist working with, among others the BBC, Chris Watson has won numerous awards for his vivid portraits of remarkable, yet everyday sounds.
Watson's "particular and passionate interest in recording the wildlife sounds of animals, habitats and atmospheres from around the world" has won him numerous accolades including a BAFTA Award for Best Factual Sound for 'The Life of Birds' (BBC TV) and an Award of Distinction at the 2000 Prix ARS Electronica for "Stepping into The Dark" (Touch).
Watson collaborated with Fällt in 2003 when he contributed a portrait of Lalibela as part of the touring installation 'Invisible Cities'.
