Slub - electronic duo Adrian Ward and Alex McClean - have set new standards in 'networked synchrony'. Creating bespoke electronic improvisation systems, welded together via Unix, their releases have featured on Mego digital sub-label Fals.ch, 8bitrecs and Fällt DIY digital do-it-yourself sub-label Fodder.
The second release in Fällt's Fodder series titled with minimal applomb features sparse electronics layered until it reaches an electronic density that, whilst seemingly chaotic is, in fact, carefully managed and controlled. Autechre like levels of abstraction which Ultrasound describe as "a loosely scored set of bytes, integers, floating point numbers and other structures using exciting and largely chaotic technologies".
